Designing these invitations was possibly one of the most enjoyable we’ve experienced so far! After a brain storming consultation, I left with my head bursting with ideas and possibilities which were extremely hard to reign in… thankfully, Neil & Tara allowed me to “run” with my ideas… and the cigar box invitation was the result!
These invites are of the “touchy-feely” variety… you can’t help but stroke each layer as you open them… So, landing on the guests doormat… a Parcel wrapped in string, revealing an etched wooden box with suede tie to open, lined with a patterened stock to match the exterior etching, then a pocket fold invitation with Thermo Printed content (Thermo print is beautiful… a lovely shiny raised print finish).
We commissioned Dominic Sharland of Cutture to craft and laser etch the boxes to our specifications.
Just to say I LOVE the invites….I couldn’t stop touching them and opening the box without giggling. The little details with all the components just make them fantastic. Really sorry I wasn’t around to meet you on Friday afternoon to tell you this in person.
You have done an amazing job, thank you soooo much they are even better than I could have hoped for. Can’t wait for you to help us with all of the other bits we need for the wedding, as no doubt you’ll make the little touches all look wonderful. You’ll make us look like a super stylish couple!!
